The Panel Schematics Nobody Can Find

    Black Box Engineering ·

Walk onto any older industrial site and ask for the current panel schematics. You will get one of three answers.

The original drawings, untouched, with three years of field changes nowhere on them. A folder of PDFs that does not match what's actually in the panel. Or a shrug and a phone number for the integrator who built it, who may or may not still be in business.

This is not a minor housekeeping issue. It is the reason a two-hour troubleshoot turns into a two-day outage. It is the reason commissioning closeouts get rejected. It is the reason a new integrator coming in has to redraw the panel before they can do any real work.

Black Box Engineering builds panels, redlines existing systems, and produces as-built documentation that matches what is actually installed. Not what was drawn three years ago.

If your team is sitting on panels with documentation you cannot trust, that is a problem worth fixing before the next failure forces you to.

    Worth a conversation.
